Section 3.7 List of tricks to find the inverse Laplace transform

These algebraic tricks can be used to manipulate an expression for finding inverse Laplace transforms.
  1. Multiply top and bottom by the same quantity. Doing this amounts to "multiplying by a convenient form of one".
  2. Use the linearity properties of the inverse Laplace transform
  3. Use partial fractions to break an expression into smaller pieces.
  4. Use the inverse form of Theorem 3.3.1.
  5. Add and subtract a constant in the numerator.
  6. Complete the square in the denominator.
  7. Use the inverse form of Theorem 3.3.7.
